Risograph Zine
I found a poem titled “The Beauty of Imperfecton” by an unknown author and feel like it embodies how I live my life as someone who struggles with perfectionism. As I continue in my graphic design career, and especially with the rise of artificial intelligence, I have realized that good design is innately human and that imperfections are a part of that.
This zine explores the concept of the beauty of imperfection through the placement of the lines in the poem, the font styles and sizes, and the medium of risograph. Printing this zine on the risograph added texture and imperfection into the design.

Malandel Flower Water is a premium, French-imported distilled flower-infused water. It is used primarily as a culinary ingredient. When added during cooking, it offers a subtle flavor to desserts, cocktails, tea, baked goods, and dressings.
The main design on the label uses art deco shapes and patterns, and the custom modular type is based on art deco fonts. I made sure to incorporate flower elements into the whole design with the shape of the bottle being a flower and the design on the label containing both leaves and petals. Each label also has a distinguishing pattern in the inner circle of the design: mint flavor has lines similar to the veins in the mint leaves, rose flavor has concentric lines similar to how rose petals nest, and orange flavor has repeating arcs like the juice vesicles in an orange.
